Government grant for Youth Wiki project

The National Youth Council received Thursday a EUR 10,000 grant for realization of project Youth Wiki.

The grant is allocated by the Government and the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility, in cooperation with the EU Delegation to Skopje.

"I believe this project will give an excellent opportunity for young people to develop their research capabilities and skills," said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev at the event.

He said the youth's intellect and energy must be put in the function of the country's development, ensuring a perspective future in their own country.

"We are faced with a huge task - EU and NATO membership. We expect your support on September 30, because we must ensure a perspective future for you and future generations. We must create the conditions so that you see your future in our Macedonia," added Zaev.

EU Delegation representative Lukas Holub said it is not only important to have youth policies in place, but young people should also be heard in the policy-creation process.

"It is often a case that young people are excluded from the policy creation process. Now is the time to change this," said Holub.

National Youth Council president Blazen Malevski said it is important to see that young people are not only young, but as individuals who monitor policies tailored for them.
